Autobiographical Narrative...

                                         Autobiographical Narrative
My name is Alejandro Cabrejo; I was born in Los Angeles, California, but raised in Inglewood, California. When you think of Inglewood, many people might think that there aren’t that many opportunities here, but there are. I attended three schools in Inglewood which were: Worthington Elementary school, Monroe Middle School, and my current school which is, City Honors College Preparatory Charter School. This is my junior year at City Honors, and the last three years have not been easy, but with the help and support of my family I am doing well. My family and community have made me the scholar and person that I am today, a strong and determined person.
I play sports, my favorite sport is soccer. I think a sport teaches you many things that are necessary in life. Most importantly it teaches you leadership and teamwork, those two attributes are needed almost everywhere you go, in a job, school, or simply in reality. Soccer has taught me those important tools for life. I think I have it because when I did community service for the Boys and Girls Club of Wilmington, I showed teamwork and leadership. I had to work with everyone there to make sure all the kids where safe and to make sure they were where they were suppose to be. It might seem simple, but you need teamwork to do that because it involves a lot of communication with each other and leadership to motivate everyone.
The schools in Inglewood or in Southern California are outstanding. I could not be more grateful to be in Southern California, because it’s filled with high achieving school such as St. Bernard’s High school, Hawthorne Math and science Academy, Lenox academy, El Segundo Environmental Charter High school, City Honors College Preparatory Charter school, and CAMS; which is rated to be the number one high school in California. Being surrounded by high achieving schools makes you and motivates you to do well in school. Not only do we have some of the best High schools but, California is filled with some of the best Ivy Leagues in the country such as: USC, UCLA, Stanford University, and Berkley University. After high school I plan to attend Stanford University, to study for accounting or history to be an archeologist.
My family is one of the greatest supporters in my education, also including my school and community. When I go to college I would be the first in my family to go to a four year college and I want to make that a reality. My teachers and parents strive to teach me and give me all the tools that I need to be successful in college and in life. My family has encouraged me be even more to be successful, I want to give them everything they want in life as a payback for what they doing for me now. Not only for my family but for my teachers, I know I have each teacher just for one year or just for a semester sometimes, but each one put in hard work and dedication to know that I learned the material in school. That is why I want to be successful and do it for my family and my community as a whole.
Everybody that has taken part in my education has made me the person who I am today. They have inspired me and motivated me to do well in life. Without them I couldn’t have got this far and be doing as well. Motivation is my fuel that keeps me going, to be the best scholar I can be, so that in the end all the years of hard work would pay off.

Short Story...

                                     “Get Me Out of Here!”
“Get me out of here!” exclaimed Private Pineda.
“Can someone shut that homesick loser up?” demanded PFC Santana.
“Hah. He won’t be quite. Not until he’s at home with his teddy bear collection,” said Corporal Rojas, with a smile on his scarred face.
“If you guys keep up that loud arguing going, there will be much to pay! Do you guys want to get us caught?” asked PFC Espinoza.
“Is something wrong here?” asked Staff Sergeant Rodriguez.
“No sir. Private Pineda here just misses his mommy,” joked PFC Santana.
The entire group burst into laughter. The five of them were walking through the mountains of Southern France, trying to find a good spot for a bunker. The mountains were completely free of all plant life, because of constant artillery shells being shot into the mountains. There were no signs of humans or animals crossing their paths for some time.
Private Pineda was a tall, heavy-set man with a five o’clock shadow. This was his first time in combat since D-Day. PFC Santana was a tall, beefy soldier, with light skin and brown hair. Corporal Rojas was a scary soldier. His light skin showed off the scars he got from shrapnel during the D-Day assault. He had the eyes of a killer and a heavy mustache that made him even scarier. PFC Espinoza was a taller, dark-skinned man. He was also new to combat on the front lines, and could hardly see, since he lost his glasses in an earlier skirmish. Staff Sergeant Rodriguez was the shortest one of the group, but had the most experience. You could tell he had been in battle many times by just looking at his ugly scars. He also talked in a way that seemed to command your attention. That is why he was in charge of this group. Although, he had one weakness. He would always lose focus when someone mentions his wife Veronica. He thought she was beautiful and always worried that he would not see her again.
“Alright, look alive, ladies. Although it may look like a total wasteland out here, but by information gathered, there may be possible German activity in the nearby areas,” explained Staff Sergeant Rodriguez.
“I want to go home… I want to go…” started Private Pineda, but before he could finish, he was suddenly cut off by a bullet through the skull.
“Aw. Gross,” stated PFC Espinoza, who was now covered in blood and brains.
“HIT THE FLOOR!” screamed Corporal Rojas, dropping faster than any other person next to him.
As Corporal Rojas gave those orders, a company of German soldiers appeared out of nowhere, firing their weapons. The remaining American soldiers lifted their rifles and began to fire back on the Germans. Being surrounded and out of ammo, S/Sgt. Rodriguez dove over to Pineda’s still body, and picked up his Browning light machine gun. He quickly set it up on the bipod and began to unload round after round on the Germans. No one ever knew if the American Soldiers ever survived the ambush, they were never heard of after that incident.

A Typical Day of My Life...

A typical day of my life is very busy and tiring. First of all it starts off when I wake up at 5:00 in the morning to get ready for school. I wake up and stretch to fully wake-up, then I take a shower. When I come out I get dressed and watch the news to see the weather to know if it is going to be warm or cold. After that I brush my teeth, and grab my things to leave for he bus stop. Once I get to school I go to my zero period class, and then get breakfast until it is time for my next class. After that I wait until 12 to get lunch, which is 45 minutes long. After lunch then I go to one more class until 2:50. After school I still have to go to soccer practice which starts at 3:15 p.m. until 5:30 .m. Once soccer practice is over I call my father to pick me up, and when I get home I eat and get ready for work. I leave for work at 6:30 p.m. and get out at 8:00 p.m. every day. My day usually finishes at 11:30 p.m. and go to sleep to start all over the next day.

Vegetable That I Dislike...

Vegetables are not every ones favorite things to eat, even though they are good for your health. Although I like vegetables; not all, but one that I truly dislike is broccoli. At first I liked it but when I had a bad experience with it when I was young. I was in elementary school in the fifth grade, and it was time for lunch. They were serving the normal lunch with broccoli on the side, although the bad part was that they did not have ranch, instead they had Italian Dressing, which I highly dislike. I was thinking of not taking the broccoli at all, but I wanted to try it, so I took the Italian Dressing. When out with with my lunch, and ate, my sand witch first as normal, then it was time to eat the broccoli. I opened the dressing, and smelled it first before pouring it onto the broccoli. It did not smell like anything, so I just poured all of it onto the broccoli. I looked at the broccoli, and got the smallest one I could find. I ate it and chewed tow or three times, then stopped, it tasted very nasty. I spit it out immediately, and from that point on I stopped eating broccoli.

Brothers and Sisters...

When it comes to brothers and sisters, there has always been a dispute between them. Most of the time is between the smaller sibling and the older sibling because the older sibling either did something to the younger sibling or vise versa. I think the main problem is because of the age difference. When you are younger you tend to be more on your parents side, and do everything they tell you, such as their "little angel." When it comes to a teenager, it is completely different because they do not like toys anymore, but are into more mature things, like hobbies. Although sometimes this is not the case, because some brothers and sisters do get along. Otherwise I think the best way to solve this problem is just to do more family activities. When you do this it brings the family together, and puts all the differences aside. In the other hand it is not a good idea to force things because then it can come back to haunt you by making things worse between them. In the end I think there just always going to be a barrier between little siblings or older siblings.

Buying a New Computer...

It is always a good idea to properly research and make sure you are making the right decision when you are buying anything, such as a computer. when you are buying a computer it is  always good to go to a store and physically see it, and touch it, because sometimes when you see or read a description, it might not match the real physical appearance. It is also a good idea to read all the features that it has, and if possible test it out, to make sure it has everything you want. When you go to a store there are always technicians or specialists in each category, that is why it is good to ask a technician about the product, to ask them if it would meet your needs, or if he/she recommends something else for you. Next it is good to go home and do some more deeper research on the product. Maybe you  can go to the products page and see any other specs about the product that were not specified. Another good idea that I think everyone should do, is read reviews that everyone writes about the product. It is good because you can read what other people think about the product once they got it. These are all great tips on how to make a decision when it comes to buying a computer or any product.
